Luma King’s Cross

Wayfinding and signage design for the sophisticated residential building LUMA at London’s largest redeveloped King’s Cross area. Curated by Double Decker London. Interior design by award-winning firm, Conran + Partners.

Luma’s design vocabulary was developed using the language of light. The signage employs a carefully conceived, chiaroscuro-inspired interplay of light and shade, contrasted with an unexpected use of materials, namely woods and brass. Throughout, the signage carries the visitor on a journey, using reflections and ‘echoes’ of light to create an ever-changing system that evolves from dusk till dawn.
